This is our second time stocking this amazing Chelichele microlot. Every year we cup this sample, it stands out on the table, Chelichele has such a distinctive and recognisable taste that blows us away every year and I’m excited to bring it to you once again. Farming practices in this region are fairly traditional, Yirgacheffe (greater region of Worka Kebele) farmers tend to intercrop their coffee plants with other food crops. This method is common among small farm owners because it maximizes land use and provides food for their families. In addition to remaining traditionally intercropped, most farms are also organic by default. Farmers in Yirgacheffe typicall use very few (if any) fertilizers or pesticides.
